A lecture performance about imaginary strategies of feeling of belonging.
Starting by the notion of home I investigated in the shifting lines of territories. Territories made by language, habits and imagination. The constant effort of rearranging that aims to create comfort. But also the institutional construct of the border as part of the shaped territory. These borders seem to be in contrast with the personal one. They seem to be static. A representation that gains value by its imaginers. By emphasizing its existence it is maintaining. Are their possibilities to negotiate within these constructs? And could a dynamic experiences of these constructs lead to a different understanding?
How did we get here is a reconstruction of parts of my research process.
